1st Grade Teacher, Ms. Riddell

Melody Riddell, a proud native of Shawnee, Kansas, graduated from Emporia State University in 2019 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. Since joining Calvary Lutheran in 2020, she has brought her enthusiasm and dedication to the classroom, inspiring her students with her creative approach to teaching. In recognition of her outstanding commitment and impact, Melody was honored as Teacher of the Month in Spring 2025 out of all the Kansas City Teachers.

Melody shares a close bond with her two younger siblings, Nathan and Lilly, and delights in the playful companionship of her corgi pup, Otis. In her free time, she finds joy in curling up with a good book, creating intricate crochet projects, exploring nature through hiking, and spending quality time playing with Otis. Her vibrant spirit and love for learning shine through in both her professional and personal life.
