Kindergarten Teacher, Mrs. Riddle
Laurie Riddle, a lifelong Kansas City native, graduated from William Jewell College with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and later earned a Master’s Degree in Reading Education from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. Since joining Calvary Lutheran in 2009, she has been a passionate educator, fostering a love of learning in her students with her expertise and warmth.
Laurie has been happily married to her husband, Steve, since 1986. They are proud parents to their son, Sam, who is completing his PhD in Chemistry, and devoted companions to their 15-year-old rescue dog, Chloe. In her free time, Laurie embraces an active lifestyle, enjoying bike rides, gardening, hiking, and exploring new destinations through travel. She also loves shopping and cherishing moments with family and friends. A dedicated Kansas City Chiefs fan, Laurie brings her enthusiasm to every game, cheering loudly for her favorite team.

Mrs. Riddle’s Favorite Things:
- Drink: Chai Latte
- Treat: Brownies, pretty much anything chocolate!
- Snack: Nuts and popcorn
- Places to Eat: Barrio, Mildred’s, Bella Napoli. I also like trying new local places!
- Store: Anthropologie and Athleta
- School Supply: Flair felt pens, and anything that can be used for art projects.
- Plant or Flower: She LOVES all flowers and plants. Her husband calls her a plantaholic!
Least Favorite Things: She doesn’t really use coffee cups. She has sensitive skin and only uses lotions scented with essential oils. (No Bath & Body, please.)
